Aug 8th - Why am I doing this?

Aug 10th - Counting down!

Ok so now there are only 6 days to go to my double world record attempt and I can’t wait! The team have been arranging a timetable of witnesses to ensure fair-play and record everything for the Record Holders Republic. I have some great sponsors on board too - Bageecha the Indian restaurant where it’s going to be held, EPS ltd the printers doing a huge banner and T-shirts, Freedome ltd who will be filming the event and Purple Pro Audio for the sound gear. Only a short one today as I have a plane to catch soon and so much to    do before then -  Hasta luego!

Aug 13th - Only 3 days to go.....

Well I have just finished the trough for the glasswalk. And if I say so myself.... It looks great! It’s a large white octagonal shape about 1 foot wide now almost filled with glass shards, I’ve got one more large crate  of glass to smash and put in. I’m also going to have a pyramid in the centre and some stones - once an artist , always an artist! I have to reiterate what a great team I’ve had supporting me - not only on the world record attempt but also in the Britain’s Next Top Coach competition - huge thanks to all of them!

Bageecha’s restaurant where I’ll be doing the walk is getting all geared up too - bill boards, balloons etc. I think it’s going to have a great atmosphere as everyone is cheering me on and we’re all cheering on the charity - such a win-win scenario.

So don’t forget you can contribute to a fantastic cause at www.justgiving.com/nigeljardine

I’m going to do some testers on the glass now - plasters at the ready!.....

Aug 25th - Made it!

Well I hope you’ve seen some of the amazing publicity that accompanied my Double World Records! My apologies for not blogging sooner, as soon as the WR’s were done I was off to London to work then back to Alicante for some R&R. A huge thank you to everyone who contributed to the record creation - Bageecha Restaurant, Action for Children and my ‘Power Team’ who were just brilliant - Thanks again. Take a look at the video of the whole event http://tinyurl.com/n5chga no, only 4 min 30secs, instead the 27.5 hrs I really took! Please remember the justgiving website is also still open to contribute to a great charity.

Sept 15th - 10 Days and counting....

It’s Tuesday 15th September and there are now just 10 days to go until the voting for BNTC closes. What a roller coaster of emotions it has been - the excitement of getting through each round, the pleasure of connecting with old and new friends due to the voting, the challenge )and some pain!) of completing two world Glass walk records and the nervousness of what comes next!?

Of course life hasn’t gone on hold during this competition, I’ve still been seeing my great 1:1 clients in Leeds and London, completing my corporate commitments, and just today I was in Norwich doing an NLP training - with  assertiveness tomorrow. My work always helps to keep me grounded and connected with others, as I prepare my training work, I never really know what the delegates will bring with them - metaphorically speaking of course, and I love that variety. So until the next time, have a great time, I know I will.

The voting for BNTC still goes on, in  fact 1 month today it will close at midnight. I’m doing everything possible to let people know of the work I do and the great benefit of coaching in general. It’s for ANYONE who would like to make a change or develop their untapped potential. Have  a great few days until the next time!

Sept 30th - Waiting......

Well the voting has now closed and now it’s a waiting game. Thanks to all those of you who supported me in my bid to become BNTC 2009. No matter what the result I can honestly say it’s been an amazing journey and one which has taught me a lot and enabled me to give a lot back to other people in the process. Gaining a Double World Record along the way was a great achievement for me! As a Motivational Coach I’m usually the one motivating others, so taking my ‘own medicine’ was ‘interesting’ on many occasions - I have had to maintain my own motivation for the last 9 months since the competition began (roughly), with an extra push during August for the records. I hope that in 10 days I can report that I am indeed the Top Coach in Britain! Watch this space.....
